Ross, SAC and SAC Summer Company. George’s acceptance speech was followed by a surprise appearance (via videotape) from long-time friends Joe Sears and Jaston Williams who were in town last week doing GREATER TUNA at the Majestic.

MC’s and presenters of awards were Mary Denman and Phil Kazen, assisted by the ATAC “Globe Girl,” Jan O’Neill.

John Igo presented “Remembrances” in honor of those members of the San Antonio Theatre community who died during the past season: Marianna Blase, Joe Leard, Bobbie Baer, and Julie Black.

Award presentations were accompanied by sound and slide examples of each award recipient’s work, designed by Rick Malone.

This year ATAC initiated special invitational opportunities for the individual theatres to publicly acknowledge the support of a valued volunteer.

The Following Presentations were made:

Paul Riddle, Jr., Treasurer and Marketing Director of the Renaissance Guild presented to Ms. Hercule.

Executive Director Di Ann Sneed, San Pedro Playhouse presented to Janet Neuenschwander.

The ATAC Globe Awards Gala was sponsored in part by the San Antonio Express-News, La Madeleine French Bakery, San Antonio College, and the Russell Hill Rogers Fund.

Special thanks also to Mr. Charles Falcon and all the very helpful, cheerful, efficient SAC students. We couldn't have done it without their help.
